Just went and picked up my new 6' box blade from farm and fleet. 550 lbs. of steel. Can't wait to put her on that 8n and have some fun. Between that and that front end loader I should be digging and a grading for awhile. Hope that box works better then a blade, cause that blade just wasn't cutting it. Update all after I get to play with it. Paul

Hi Paul,

If you are digging or moving dirt or gravel, you will find a box blade a big improvement. I don't think that you will ever wish it was bigger on the back of the 8N; 6 ft will make that little Ford earn it's keep. If you find yourself often with more in the box than you can easily handle, try using the draft control, as opposed to the position control. You will have better control of the load. This is really the way a box blade should be run most of the time. Have a good time, Bill

I agree with Smokie...I got a 5' for my 8N and it does a good job. I was afraid a 6' would be a litte much, but I too don't have fluid or weights in the back. Anyway, you'll have a lot more fun with this than the blade!
