I've located a Dearborn (Danuser) Model 19-50 general purpose blade which uses a cable-lift subframe to raise and lower the 6' blade.

Will this unit fit a 1941 9N, or just the 8N model for which it was originally manufactured?

As this implement is some distance away from me, I can't check the mounting frame details and spacing to see if it will fit a 9N/2N unit.

Thanks in advance for input.

Hi Randy: Here's what Tom-Pa is talking about:

If the snow-blade frame attaches like the above picture, then you are ready to rock and roll. Just be sure to get the axle brackets and other necessary attaching parts to it when you pick it up. I can post or email other pictures from the owner's manual if it will help you out.

Hope this helps..... ..... Ed

Ed, Tom -

Thanks for the replies, and for the scanned pictures! They absolutely answered the question for me, and this blade will work on the 9N!

I appreciate the quick replies, and the detailed info - I hadn't wanted to miss this implement. Living in New England, snow removal is a prime consideration.

Great to have this expertise on hand!

As Ed says, make sure you get all the attachments,in particular, the mandatory pith helmet.

You bet! You don't want your wife pithing on your bare head because you missed a few spots in the driveway, right?

Only if it attaches under the axles(Fender bolts).
If it has to attach under the differential, then forget it as it will only fit the 8N of the 3 models. I have an Arps snowplow that attaches under the axle so I can use it on both the 2N and 8N, Had a chance to get the Arps bulldozer setup but turned it down as it would have been restricted to just the 8N..I like the ability to use whatever tractor i have running that day.
Good Luck
Tom-Pa
