Is there such a thing as a combination blade...a back blade/box blade?...able to convert back and forth.

I heard someone talking about such a thing once, but I have never seen one.

Thanks/Peace

Sal

I've never seen a box blade that could be turned at an angle but you can get one from Gill that is called a rollover blade so you can both push and pull as needed. It also has scarifier teeth that can be used to rip up the soil. I have an IMCO box blade that has both a front and back blade, the blade is hinged so that it can be lifted up out of the way or let down to smooth soil when going forward. It also has some scarifier teeth that can be lowered. I have an Arps blade for doing angle work.

Hey Sal. Arps made a backblade with detachable side plates. It was intended for snow removal, and not for grading/material-removal like a traditional box blade. Did not have scarifiers. Here's a couple of scans from an ad flyer:

Hope this helps..... ..... Ed

I have one of these blades with the side extensions. It won't move as much dirt as a box blade but it works pretty good. It is a well made blade not like the TSC crap they sell. I have the only set of side extensions I have ever seen but a goot frabricator could make a set quite easily.

Looking for a set of side extensions for an Arps AB-11 back blade.
Anyone got one?
