I have not found this in the archives. In 5 years I have broken 2 plungers (the shaft that fits inside the plunger guide that fits inside the main control spring) This happens during bushogging on somewhat rough terrain. I have a '49 8N with a 2 hole rocker in which I use the bottom hole to attach my top link. The break occurs right at the rim of the yoke. Why am I breaking these and where can I find another one (my last source can't find any)? Can this be welded? Thanks for the help.

Is the mount for the top link on your bush hog rigid or slotted/hinged? It sounds like yours is rigid and when you go over unlevel ground it's "Pile drive'n" your top link into your rocker shaft/yoke ?? If it is rigid stop useing a top ling and start useing a chain, you can buy a chain allready made for this task or just make one.
