I was just wondering has anyone out there ever tried to pull a tiller with a 8N? If so what kind?

What he [Dell] said.

Your 8N ain't faster than a speeding bullet. It ain't more powerful than a locomotive. It won't leap tall buildings in a single bound; and, It won't roto till. Although it is theoretically possible to build an 8N that would run slow enough with the PTO rpm high enough to make this work--see a post I did in the archives last spring--the cost would far exceed the benefits. If you need to till make a trip to the rental shop and rent a rear tine tiller.

Robert..... ...not recommended. The N is too high geared for rototillering without the rare and fragile "Howard" aux gearbox. Sherman aux gearboxes don't do it.

Howsomever, the N is a 2-bottom plowing fool.

Many years ago, I saw several 3-point aux engined rototillers that worked on N-Tractors but I don't know what brand or anything else except it was in Lodi Calif 1973.

Usually every spring there is a spate of inquiries about rototillering. You might want to check the "archives" at the top of this great N-Board..... ...Dell
