Maybe if he was an active N-Forum member he wouldn't be tossing this uncompleted pile to the road and actually spend time fixing it. Sounds like a restoration job that he knows is going to be too costly tossed out on another innocent victim...haha.

Maybe I have not been a 2N owner long enough, but the starting bid seems a little much for an 8N with a locked up steering box (but he is sure it just needs grease), an engine (in need of new sleeves and rings) and front end in pieces, and no coil.

Seems like a case of caviat emptor to me.

Plus, how are you going to get it off the trailer without the front end on?

That thing sure looks familiar. I bid on one last year at an auction in the Austin area that sure looked like that, head off, new rear tires and missing sheet metal. If it's the same one, it also has a shelled out transmission. It went for $800.

I agree, Ed.

I know I should consider inflation, but these tractors cost under $1000 new! Geess!!

The steering box just needs grease like the engine just needs a "Tune Up". Happy Motoring

The clowns in the circus are funny, but the ones selling an uneconomically rebuildable N tractor are just something else. Is it possible to bid 50 cents.
