Does anyone know where you order a Mower deck stabilizer for Tim's 9N. This one maintains consistant mower height. He has the side ones. He's in Wyoming working so I have been given the task of locating this for him. Thanks in advance!!!!!

Where did you get it???? I am trying hard to find one locally or one I can get shipped. It has to be here by next weekend. :( Zane has to wait on a check to get to him and it has to clear and I don't have the time for that....sooooo my fingers are going nuts on this computer trying to find one.
Ohhhhh....Thanks for the response

Patti..... ..the "Zane Thang" is NOT what is commonally called "limiter chains" for $30 that CD is refering to.

Both limiter chains and Zane Thang will control the height of your brushog behind your 9N/2N tractor. The chains take the weight of the 'hog and when you raise the hog to clear an obstical, the chains colapse, then when you lower the 'hog, it returns to the chain controled height you previously set.

Zane's Thang is an externally installed hydraulic height control feedback scheme that solves the 9N's hydraulic control for height control. It still allows the 9N's draft control (plowing) to work. Its a dual function scheme like the 8Ns position control little handle under the tractor seat

I use limiter chains on my 8N so the 'hog returns to the same cutting height that I originally set it to.

Get the Zane Thang, you'll won't be sorry..... ...Dell

What you need is the ZANE THANG position control device.

Click on the link below for more information.

Thanks, ZANE

Patti, If I understand you correctly, you are looking for the item that maintains mower deck height on the 9N. If you will go to the link at the top of this page you will find it. Its called the "Zane thing" and simulates position control of the hydraulics on the 9n
Hope this helps. Roy
