Did they make rear wheel weights for the 8n? Mine wont pull a 2 bottom plow cause the tires just spin it has enough power but lack of traction so I think it needs weight.

Hi Aaron: the weights can get expensive, but they do offer the advantage of being able to be removed relatively quickly if you don't want them on. A less expensive alternative to rear wheel weights is filling the rear inner tubes with a mixture of water and anti-freeze (RV type is said to be best), or water and Calcium Chloride. The CaCl solution will give more weight than the anti-freeze, but if you spring a tube leak, will also rust out a rear wheel in a heartbeat if you don't jump right on it and fix it. You can buy an adapter at your local New Holland dealer or local farm supply that will connect a garden hose to your inner tube valve. You rotate the tire so that the tube valve is at the 12 o'clock position, attach the hose adapter to the valve, and place the other end of the hose in a tank containing the mixture of water and whatever you choose to use. You can use a gravity feed process or use a pump. Here are pictures of both methods, followed by a chart showing you how much CaCl to use and what the resulting weight will be:

You'll find the loaded rear tires will also help with snow removal, if you live in an area where that's an annual chore. Adding chains to the loaded tires should get you through about anything you need to.

Hope this helps..... ..... Ed

Not sure if they made them but they fit as said in the classified ads to the left. Search under 8n and you will see a set for sale.
