I was wondering if you are flying your Red-White-and Blue? I live in North Al. and I don't believe that there is a store anywhere around where you can purchase the American Flag. People are displaying the colors on their cars, businesses, clothing and their homes.

If you want to fly our flag on your Windows desktop, you are welcome to capture this and use it:

Here's how to do it:

- put your mouse cursor anywhere inside the picture
- click the RIGHT mouse button
- a menu will be displayed. Choose Save Picture As...
- You will be presented with a dialogue box where you can specify where to save the image. Type the following in the File name: box: c:\windows
- The next box below is labeled Save As Type: It probably will display JPEG (*.jpg). Scroll down in that box and choose Bitmap (*.bmp)
- LEFT click the Save button

The picture file is now in your Windows folder on your PC. The following steps will make this image your desktop wallpaper (background behind your icons):

- Either close or minimize all open windows so that you can see your Windows desktop. - Place your cursor anywhere on the desktop where there are no icons.
- press the RIGHT mouse button
- choose Properties at the bottom of the menu
- You will be presented with the Display Properties box. It should already be set on the Background tab and you should see a small picture of whatever you are using now as your wallpaper/background.
- Scroll down to American Flag - A Day of Remembrance and choose that one.
- Click the Apply button with your LEFT mouse button. Then click the OK button.

This will make the above image your wallpaper on your PC until you change it.

Email me if you have questions or problems doing this.

God bless America..... ..Ed

I too was one of those who was not required to get caught up in the mad dash to buy an American flag.

We should fly it proudly always.

I am one of those americans who proudly already had an american flag to display before this began.

I must get it from my dad who, when he was a young father, wrote his senator to get a flag that had flown over the white house. That one is in front of the office today.

God Bless America
