Hello Robert,
I live in New Hope, which is about half-way between Huntsville and Guntersville. Good to hear from a "neighbor". I'm not a N-owner, but I read this board frequently, as there seems to be lots of well-versed tractor owners here. Also check several of the other boards. I have a Ford 2000 Offset, an Earthmaster C, which I just restored, a MM Avery V, and my "new" tractor, a MF 165D. And don't farm anything. So, I'm just a little crazy, but I'm harmless and non-poisonious.

Stan,
I didn't know you were so close. I live in Decatur and spend every weekend just South of you at Honeycomb Campground. Dale

I'm originally from Scottsboro and now live in Cherokee. I've spent many Saturday nights at New Hope at the local drag strip in my youth. I used to race a 427 Chevelle there back in 66-67. I don't know if the track is still there now or not? I got much wiser and gave it up after applying the brakes on a run and found none. Then I cleaned out a cow pasture and gave up drag racing for my future and now wife of 32 years.

The drag strip has been closed for several years, I don't remember how long. Sounds like the wife has lasted much longer than the drag cars would have anyway. I'd say you made a good trade.
