Hi Im ignorant so help me out if ya can. Im looking at a 9N that seems to be in pretty good shape. No major rust could use front rubber. I see there is drainage from the inside of both wheels around the axel so I figure the seals are bad, also there is fluid leaking from around the end of the pto. shaft. Should I stear clear, How hard a job is it to replace these seals and around how much will it cost me. The fella is asking 1,600 for the tractor but Im sure I can get it for less. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Thanks alot, sounds incouraging. replacing the seals does not seam that hard. The wheels are loaded so they will be heavy. Guess Im going to go for it. I was torn between this one and a cub loboy.

Get the LoBoy too! With a belly mower, the 9N and Cub make a great combination.

Hi Ray:

Up here in this part of the woods, "Michigan" If the tractor starts and runs good, has good Hyd. No wine in the Tranns. $1600.00 is a steal. I've looked at some sick Ns for $2000.00 and up. Not to hard to change those seals. Some one will jump in here and help with your problem. Just remember those rear wheels are heavy, get some help removing and reinstalling them...Good luck.
