Thanks to all the great suggestions ya'll provided me last week. I rebuilt the carburator and replaced the spark plugs. Wouldn't you know it, it started right up on the first crank. And, boy did it sound sweet!!!

Incidentally, I found the carburator rebuild section on this website to be absolutely priceless. Instead of following the one page tiny print instructions which came with the kit, I used the 14 page, color photo, easy to follow instructions by Don Stewart entitled "Step-by-step Carburetor Overhaul: 1952 Ford 8N." If Don reads this post, thanks a million bro.

The link for those interested is www.ytmag.com/articles/restore/8ncarb/artint231_pg1.htm

God Bless

Just type in the address referenced on the address line in your browser and hit enter. Anytime I see anything that I might specifically want to use, I do this and then save it as a favorite. I then organize those in a folder and currently have a repairs file full of readily accessible messages if I have a specific rpoblem.
