Bob All previous responses are good. I believe that all (or most) of the 3 point attachments for the 9N-2N were built for Ferguson to sell for the Ford tractor. It was part of the handshake agreement. When Henry 2 disolved the agreement and brought out the 8N, Dearborn equipment soon appeared. For sandy-loam soil I have plowed hundreds of acres with a Dearborn 2-14 plow, in second gear or sometimes in a step-up first gear or step-down 3rd gear (Sherman transmission). I have heard that a Dearborn plow does a cleaner job than a Ferguson but I have not compared it even though I own 2 Ferguson plows.
All certainly do the job with good points, mold boards and coulters properly set.
Happy soil ripping.

Hi Bob: You bet it will. Plowing and cultivating were two of the main reasons the 9N was manufactured. As long as your engine is in reasonably decent shape (compression and tuning), and your soil is not extraordinarily tough, you should have no problems pulling a 2-14 plow.

Good luck with it..... .Ed

OOPS I forgot to mention that I am pulling my Ferguson 2 bottom plow with my 49 8N. It works great.

I just purchased a Ford Ferguson 2 bottom plow and plowed my corn field (3 acres) with it yesterday. It worked great.
