I got enthused after the get togther we had last Saturday's at Walts' and started putting the engine back together. I got a front pulley about two years ago (2N6312) to replace the one I broke trying to get it off. The new one has a long neck (about 1 1/2") and it will not fit on the crank with the Rachet (2N6319A1), also the Slinger (40 6310A2) has a keyway and there is no keyway on the new crank I got. Did I get the wrong pulley?
Thanks for any help. I should not have waited so long to start putting the 8N back together as I have forgotten what goes where and where I put all the parts.

Alex..... ...Yeah, there were 2 different front pulleys. The original was kinda made out of sheetmetal and worked with the tapered shoulder of the crank ratched bolt. Now days, all you can get is a billet pulley. Machined out of 1 peace of metal and usually has 4 mounting holes for the hydraulic pump driveshaft for front end loaders. You need a new flat shoulder bolt to hold it. 5/8-18 X 1 1/2" seems to be what I remember using with a flat washer. Don't know about oil slinger. But hey, you're making progress..... ..Dell
