What to do for tractor weights

I have a 2-N and use it with a dozer blade in snow. Drained tire fluid as wheel rusted and don't want to have that weight in tractor year round. I would appreciate any suggestions. I read last winter about people putting weight on drawbar, but that would drag on the ground when plowing. Want to minimize weight on three point. Were wheel weights optional on this tractor? Thanks, Al in Wisc.

That looks just like what I could use. I have chains, but not enough. I liked the response of 'sitting on the seat' Anyone know of a source for weights? I don't know if I could figure out a way of putting on a rear weight (concrete) so it would not be going up and down with the blade-raise/lower. Thanks for the help. Al L.

can't find it now but you might try search of the archives. almost sure it was on this site, someone provided a link to a site where a fella attached a round steel plate (using 4 bolts) to the rear rim of a kubota. out from this plate there was a steel rod large enough in diameter for the weights you use for weightlifting. slide weights on/off as needed. used the lockdown from the weight bar to hold them on. didn't see why it wouldn't work on the rim of my 2N.
maybe someone else remembers this and knows where the link is.

Good Luck

Wheel weights are available for the N's.

You want add weight to the back, but drag it, wouldn't this be a problem when backing up? Not so sure about that kind of a set up. I would think it's better to hook up weight to the 3pt hitch, like a small barrell with concrete in it...with hardware going through it to connect to the 3pt hitch and use limiter chains to take the load of the hydraulics.

Tire Chains will help with traction too.
