Any help in where I could find a 7'rear blade and tire chains for a 2N in Northen Illinois or lower Wisconsin before the snow flies? About how much for a new one?
Thanks

It's what I have -- works fine.

Note that you might have to spread the rear wheels out a little bit or you'll have trouble spinning the blade around. This depends on how wide the wheels are set right now.

Russ,

Looked at my Sunday ad for Fleet Farm and it lists several locations in Wisconsin. The brand is called King Kutter.

I have a LandPride 7' rear blade. You can go to their website, enter a zipcode, and see what dealer is closest to you. Take a shot for northern Illinois, I entered the zip code of Rockford, IL and it came up with six supposed dealers of LandPride landscaping implements. Maybe some phone calls? If they don't have it they might order it for you.

For chains, you might try whatever dealer you find above. Also try tirechains.com. Remember to include the price of shipping when comparing chain prices!

I purchased mine from CT Farm and Country. It is not as heavy duty as the Woods, but it does everything that I want it to do. About $170 or so...

Hi Russ,

I'm from Minnesota and I just bought a new 7' rear blade for my 2n from Mills Fleet Farm. I don't know if MFF has stores in Illinois or Wisconsin. The blade was about $175.00 and seems to be pretty decent quality.

Mills Fleet Farm starts at Germantown. South of there you can find pretty much the same stuff at Blaine's Farm & Fleet.
