I have an original hood (its a 47 2N)and a new aftermarket O.E. grille ( the grille is very nice by the way) and new after market dog legs. I have gotten the hood to look pretty decent now (after all the bondo) and I'm trying to figure out the spacing between the dog legs and the grille. Because the grille tilts out, do I use some sort of rubber spacer or washer where the dog leg bolts to the grille? I seem to have a 1/4 to 5/16 " on each side to use up so everything aligns alright.
Also, were the 2N grilles held in place with pins in the top instead of the tilt feature seen on the aftermarket grilles?

Russ:

The grill in my 44 2N tilts out and is held in place by a spring pin on each side on the top. You push down on the spring ends and the pins move down allowing the grill to tilt out.

Where did you get the after market dog legs? And how much??
