Well, my 8N has good rear tires, but the tubes are no good. How much would 2 rear tire tubes cost, and what size are 8N tires?

Thanks

Gemplers (www.gemplers.com) sells new inner tubes for $28.50 each.

Expect to pay a tire service about $25 per wheel to R+R the tires and put in new inner tubes. That's if you take the wheels to them. If the wheels are loaded, or if they come to you - well, then, it's POR.

Yes, you can R&R the tires yourself. Do you want to? No. By the time you've bought tire levers, spoons and a bead breaker big enough to get these things off and back on - you'd be better off hiring it done.

If you do hire it done, ask whether your service will inject self-sealing compound into the tires. This is a gooey slop which will seal small punctures from the inside out and can save you much work and repair cost if you get a small puncture. This stuff shouldn't be more than $10 a tire.

It is not the cost of the tubes that are of concern but the labor involved...(Millertire.com has them listed for $38.00) The original tire size was 10-28. This is an obsolete size and are replaced with 11.2-28....
