Here's my procedure for adjusting the 8N hydraulic control unit.

I have posted a procedure for adjusting the hydraulic control unit on my 8N tractor here: http://members.aol.com/Go4Rain/hydadj.html.

It includes steps for straightening a bent control arm (that long skinny arm sticking down from the control unit). It requires only basic tools to accomplish.

I would appreciate any comments you have on this procedure. Please e-mail your comments to me at Rogtwo@aol.com.

Roger -
Nicely done! I tried to adjust mine as stated in Fo-4, but won't know how succesful I was until I get the rest of the tractor put together and see how it works. I have a feeling I will be doing it again and will use your procedure. Thanks again.

Thanks Mike and MATT. I hope the procedure works well for you the next time you need it.

I really do appreciate getting comments back on how the procedure can be clarified or corrected. If you have any questions or comments, please e-mail me.

Thanks Roger

Your procedure Roger for the hydraulic control adjustment has clarified some of the gray areas in the manual, unfortunately, after I did both of my 8N tractors. I'll use your procedure the next time. Sure glad you posted it, Thanks.
