With the throttle lever at one half position on the quadrant the motor dies. It just idles so slow it stops. Is there a rigging process to get full opreational travel so one end is idle and the other is full throttle??

Governor needs overhaul or adjustment?
Idle speed adjustment on the carburetor?
Bent linkage?
Or maybe an air leak in the carburetor?

See FO-4 for the first three. There are notes in this forum about the last item that involve spraying WD-40 around the carb to temporarily plug any air leak.

OR - maybe I've got the other half of your quadrant on my tractor! Only the first half of the quadrant works on mine - after that the engine is runs at a kazillion RPM. I went through governor adjustment procedures (see the FO-4) with no success. I've walked away for now and will return to the problem soon with a cooler, more methodical mind.

Just guessing,
Jerry

Jerry thanks for the input. I have been through the carb and gov. I think I will start at the carb linkage and work to the throttle lever and see if that will give me full use of the quad. If not if I get full operation of the throttle valve in the carb I guess that's all I can ask for.
