I would pay the same price for a precision or"exact model" marketed by these firms unasembled in the box as the finished model. It would be so much easier than getting them apart. Anybody else willing to join the movement?

I mounted an extensive letter-writing campaign to ERTL about a plastic model 8N and got a negative response. Their "Precision" stuff is all made in China, and the Franklin and Danbury pieces may be, as well.

Thats sad.
What ever happened to American Craftsmanship?
I'm probaly the most up America person you will ever meet. But I think its wrong the way Wall Street has taken over the crafts and sent it offshore. If our leaders had listened to Dr, Demming and practiced Quality we could still be known as a high quality producer of quality goods in the world marketplace. The asian countrys have craftsmen to and if we had practiced quality the way the asians did we would be so far in front no one could touch us. The 8N is an excelent example of we have done right in the past.IMHO.
Sorry about the soap box but i feel very strongly about this and what we could have been. Heck we might have had a red belly on the moon instead of a lunar rover made by off shore enterprizes.
