Have had this 8n for several months with minimal leakage. Recently put it in the shop to re-wire and do other things. Drained the hydraulic fluid and put in new fluid, not 134 but a universal type which will be drained out and replaced with 134. The problem is that there is a fluid leak and it appears to come from the point where the left lift arm attaches to the rear housing. Can't see a crack The tractor has not been run since replacing fluid. What do you think?

Rick..... ...they all do that (grin)....
Actually, what you have it the usual lower pin leak caused by being "loose". Unfortunately, the only "cure" is to remove the axle trumphet and tighten the inside castelated nut to 150 ft/lbs and replace the cotter key. You might want to do a search of the "archives" at the top of this great N-Board. Plenty of info there about lower link pin..... ...Dell

Thanks, Dell. I will follow your advice. This tractor will probably be in the shop for a while. so I might as well fix it right. Rick
