If the IH plow has the 2point fast hitch I would sell or trade it. Some of the fast hitch equipment is worth as much or more than the 3pt equipment. If its a trailer plow I would still try to trade it because now you can get a fair price for it. If you try to convert it and it doesnt work well it will be hard to sell.

Yes, you can put a 3-point hitch on an old pull-type plow. I've seen several done this way. Yes, they look like the dickens. They do not appear very satisfactory, and appear to be difficult to engineer so that they will work correctly. These homemade plows bring almost nothing. Some other implements are easier to convert, such as a "single" (not tandem) disk. By the way, I have heard of a Ford Jubilee pulling a 2-16s pull-type plow with ease on flat land. 2fordsmike

I'd love to find out myself. I suppose one would have to fabricate a bracket and then it would work. If any one has done this and has some knowledge to share, I too would like to hear it. I have an old disc and a single bottom plow from the pre-Ferguson era that i would like to use. Of course I will have to cut down the trees that have grown up through them.
