I bought a top link & a oil fill cap for the 2N & neither one fit. The top link has to much material beytond the hole to line up with the holes on the tractor. Is there another size of attatchment for these N's? It snowed & snowed & is still snowing. The drive is clean & I'm grinnin' New motor 2 winters ago & new tires this fall & she worked for two hours & didn't miss a lick cept for the carb icing up a couple times. Got a stack set up for her as soon as I can get the fuel to stop leaking when I have it turned up . Maybe the stack will stop the icing.
Well any ways any help on the top link would be app. it's soup now!!! Play safe.

All Cat. 1 top links should be same size and fit, 3/4" pin, sounds like you may have bought a cat. 2 top link, 1" pin.

Hi Rusty,
I had a similar problem with my 8N, but my top link was a home-made rig so I just kept grinding it down until it would fit. If the link extends very far past the holes, you may have to buy another (correct one) from the folks here. I would try to fake it by grinding or replacing one side of the link with a modification that would fit. Top links are not that expensive. Good luck.
