hey fellas
i have two of these now-industial ford flat head 6ers- was wondering cubes. one is old mil. genset.
one has rockford clutch on back, both have gear driven govorers -- off timing cover. side dis. on both, now what i wonder are these the same as the truck or car motors- will a funk kit work-would love to post pics- do not know how.
the genset is spotless-going to stay a genset-30kw 3phase- but the pto motor is not running at this point- will, seems to think it should drop in a n thanks ron

If you have a Ford flathead 6 cyl of '40s vintage it is probably a 226 CI as used in cars and light trucks. The engine was produced from 1941-1951. The side distributor came around 1948 I believe.

thanks Ray every funk i have seen anyways has the belt driven gov. yeasterday the dead one got here- the pto unit, popped the lid off- bore-looks to be 3.5 stroke--guessin on this on-set up right now 3.75. the model # i find on these-- 8mnn. all the funks i have seen with car motors are 6mnn? thanks ron
