I am going to purchase a 8N (news to my wife shhhh). Anywho, what are some common problems of these tractors that I should look out for when buying? I know the normal stuff (leaks, smoke, knocks, etc...). Also, does anyone know of particular place in the N. Ga area to look for these machines? I have 2 old farmers close by that rework these things and sell em but I would like to browden my horizons

Thanx
Ron

John Smith has a good set of 8N buyers recommendations - things to look for, things to look out for. I think it is a thorough listing.

Alot depends on what you want it for, working tractor or a tractor to restore..Mine is a working 2N that will be restored when we retire..

The biggest problem about getting an N is how are you going to tell the little woman. Once you figure out how to do that the rest is pretty easy!!! grin.
