I've been lurking here since I bought my 8n 2yrs ago. Don't say much because the tractor just runs great all the time. This is a great board and I have learned much from reading, but the tractor refuses to break down. Obviously this board is devoted to problem solving but the truth is that once you got it running right its hard to damage these tractors. When I have more experience I will post more, but for now just want to say "thank-you", to all the regulars on this board for their wonderful insight and hospitality.

I have to echo your comments, Sarge. My 9N has needed a lot of "little" things (starter drive, carb, rear axle seals, etc.) but I don't mind, as working on this antique has become an enjoyable hobby for my kids and me. Thanks to the helpful and friendly folks on this board I have really learned a lot and now have the confidence to tear into it without fear of destroying something. When I have a question that the FO-4 manual can't answer, I go straight to the archives and I'm all set. I estimate that this board has saved me at least $1,000 because I have done these repairs myself and not paid the New Holland dealer to do them for me. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone and wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy N'ing for 2002.

Dave
