Ok, after searching the archives, I believe the cam follower pin is the reason my 3 pt wont work in position control. However, I would like to be certain before I attemp taking it apart. In position control, the hydraulics wont raise or lower. Draft control seems to work fine, but position control doesnt work at all. Now, I know Zane manufactures a kit for this, but I really can afford it at the moment. So, could someone help me? Assuming it is the pin, where is it located? Can it be accessed via the inspection plate? How hard will it be to remove and replace? I have read that adjustments may be needed. Would I have to, or could I just replace the pin? How do I adjust it? I also heard that not being able to rotate my draft control spring (the big one the the top link pushes on, right?) could cause a problem. How do I adjust it, and it doesnt effect position control, right?

Thanks,

68 Mag

I sent you a picture of the pin and a bar supporting the linkage so it can be knocked out with a flat ended punch of appropriate size. I would post a picture here but I don't have Photo Point anymore and the rest are just too slow. I don't have all day to wait for them to load etc.

You will have to have the right side inspection plate off in order to feel the hole in the control valve rocker to get the end of the control rod back in. Helps to have another person to help hold it up while you feel around in the oil but it can be done with the left hand holding and the right hand bobbing for the hole.

The position control will not raise the 3pt when it is in the down position. It controls the draft of position control. The draft control should be in the up position when the position control is to be used.HTH DON TX
