I felt you guys would appreciate seeing my most recent project. It is a dream to use. Correct weight, etc. Front end doesn't travel when plowing to side with the small tri-rib tires.

No extra weight needed on the rear with loaded tires and tire chains. This rig is a bull dozer.

Hi Norman, That is another good reason to convert to 12 volt. Nice neat looking job. It looks like you have a cut out in the hood above the battery what is that for?

Some Idiot, former owner of this 8N, made a cut out to more easily remove the battery. Can you believe it?! All one need do is tilt the battery down a bit, and wallah, its out. Maybe he smoked a bit too much whacky terbacky.

I was wondering who would be observant enough to notice this. I may be repairing this, or even replacing the hood.

Good tractoring to all this holiday season.

Norman,

I have the same cut out from a previous owner. The owners must have been related.

Did he cut the inner frame also? If the hood is not rusted too bad over the dog leg a piece could be formed and mig welded in. Too bad some one does not make patch pannels for the molded section. I tried to form one using a epoxi mold but I could not get the center crease sharp enough. Would have to use a rolling mill. I ended up using fiberglass cloth and bondo to patch the rusted area on mine. Turned out pritty good.

I hope to get some other photo's of details on the mounting and wireing on the net somewhere so you can see them. I have signed up for onebigvillage.com, and have to get the pics on there. I will notify this forum when I get this done.

Beautiful job... It all looks professional. Even has a hydraulic cylinder for angling the blade. Happy Motoring
