I'm rebuilding my 53 Jub carb. Not counting the parts that I have either lost or broben, I have one question. Taking the top half of the carb and flippin it over and removin the float there is a hole that is directly under the right float. It runs almost to the lip of the carb that attaches to the manifold. I have soaked it , boiled it in H2O, blown air into it and have probed it (carefully) with a bread tie wire. It soesn't seem to have an outlet. Any help on this would be appreciated. I am using Don Stewart's step by step Carb. overhaul. I couldn't have gotten in this much trouble with out it. No, it is a very good article. If you can refer to it idt will be the fifth picture down. Looking at tahe idle jet, this hole is at about the 4 oclock position. About one inch away from it. Sorry I can't tell you how to get there from here.

Thanks for any help. ; oslo

Oslo..... ..sometimes passages innna carb are 2 drill holes that meet at right angles somewhere. Sometimes they have seals that look like BB's (donna mucka round and remove 'em cuz ya kant gett replacement seals anyhows) I have successfully blown out clogged jet passages with carb cleaner annna that little straw that seems to get lost so eazy. It take some preserverance and safety glasses..... ...Dell
