i had put an ad for wanting a back blade on our local internet server. this guy called me and said he had some blades for me to look at. it was about 20 miles away so i went down there and looked and couldnt believe what i found. this man and his late father have been collecting 9ns,2ns,8ns and NAAs for around 40 yrs or more. this tractor junkyard covers about 3 acres and stuff piled everywhere! i cant describe it well you would have to see it. i counted at least 30-40 of these tractors all around plus halfs of tractors and parts everywhere. i opened a battery-fuel door on one and found a cover that goes under the lid to cover the battery in good shape. he wont sell parts off of complete tractors even tho they are just sitting there rusting. he says he might want to restore them someday. not hardly. plus implements stacked up everywhere! he did sell me the cover for $10 and i bought a real good massey ferguson 6 ft blade. i had a great time wandering around and talking to him. if anyone out there needs used parts let me know. i,ll get you in touch with him. he does not have a computer his daughter saw my ad and gave him my number.

Hey Scott when do you want to go? Maybe we can work out a time soon. Kevin might want to go along too. I can see if we can get tickets to a Mizzou game and do this trip right.
Charles

Kevin says Mizzou tickets are harder to come by than tractor parts! We're ready for the road trip!

lots of good hoods, doglegs, fenders etc but he wont sell them if they are on a complete tractor. most of the good sheetmetal are on complete tractors.

Hey Roperboy, sounds like you hit the motherload. I wonder ifyou could send me his phone number, I need a battery tray for my late model 8n. My wife said I could have anything I wanted for Christmas, my first thought was a case of oil for our car and truck. But I need the tray more. Ha Ha

Pete, I live in Fredericktown. About 90 miles south of St. Louis, 50 miles west of Cape Girardeau. My oldest daughter goes to M.U. so the next time we go to visit her, I will try to contact you. It would be fun to see all that stuff.

I'm glad that they are no where near me...the temptation is far to great. I suspect that you will need to practice a great deal of self control...

On the other hand, what a great Christmas gift to yourself!

Happy Holidays!
