Dear 68 Mag, I finally got my digital camera back and outwaited the rain. Then I had to take a tutorial on how the heck to get a picture posted. If I do it right you will see the work box I built to haul behind my 9. It is approx 3 ft x 5 ft and the boards are 2 x 12's. I have been promised some steel decking so I haven't changed the poor ole rotten things for a while. The biggest problem I had in the construction was drilling the 7/8" holes for the lower pins. (I didn't have a drill bit that big then). The chains you see on the front are limiter chains that I hook onto grab hooks I have on the top link mount to hold it about 6" off the ground, then I set the top link to tip up the rear end slightly. I use this mainly to take in the woods when I want to cut some firewood although it comes in handy for all kinds of stuff, including riding the little ones around. Good Luck with yours..... ..... . cargocult,
Don't know the exact weight but I intentionaly built it as light as possible to keep the front end down. I can easily lift one end and slide it around on my blocks to line it up... it is probably somewhere around 200 pounds??? The 2 x 12's are probably as heavy as the frame. Merry Christmas ..... .... I was goofing off trying to see if I could get the pic to show and maybe even post it correctly like you just did. I found a magic combination of keystrokes that brought the pic into the original post in place of the red-x. Here's what I did that worked. I'm trying to find out WHY it worked. First I did a right click on the red x. Then I clicked on "Properties" so I could see the URL that was being referenced. I highlighted it, copied it and pasted it in my address box (aol 5.0). That got me to the pic. Then I right clicked on the image again, looked at the URL, decided there was nothing else I could do so I hit "cancel". Next thing I knew I was back looking at the YT Board post with the pic right where it should be. I logged off and back on and tried it again and it worked both times. What great computer principle did I just discover?

Jim,

When you viewed the pic from it's Geocities location, the pic was put in your "cache" (temporary storage place on your computer for frequently or recently accessed data). So when you went back to the N-board, the pic was in cache (memory). I'll bet if you dump your cache (delete your temporary internet files) and hit the refresh/reload button, you'll get the red x again.

Aint this stuff fun?

Tyman

Hey that looks very simple to build and gives me an Idea, I have a set of forklift blades laying around. I think I'll build a box that slides onto the forks for a dual purpose implement.
Thanks Jim K
