could anyone please provide a brief step by step carb adjustment procedure for my 9 n I had the carb rebuilt but now the engine does not keep running. do not have access to manual Friend suggested I ask for help from someone who has been through the adjustment procedure. He also thinks the float level may be off but we dont have adjustment specs for the float level either. thanks.

First, check the float and adjust to 1/4" from base of gasket to the front of the float. Make sure all is tight and the gasket is good when re-assembled. Adjust the idle screw one full turn out and the main one full turn out. Install carb. Start and run till warm. At idle, adjust on to enrich and out to lean till runs smooth at idle. To adjust main, warm it up and run at load; adjust in till it begins to falter then out 1/8 to 1/4 turn. That should do it.
