for month and day look at the starter housing - there should be a casting tag on it that will have a letter then numbers.

The letter corresponds to the month (A=January, B=February, etc) then the next two digits for the day, then I belive the last number is the last number of the year it was cast.

The same tag should be on the forward side of the right rear axle trumpet, although casting dates might be different than the starter housing.

Look to the left under Research and Info. and follow the directions. You should see that your 9N is a 1940 model.

I JUST BOUGHT A 9N FORD AND DON'T KNOW WHERE
THE STARTER HOUSING IS OR THE REAR AXLE TRUMPET
IS. I FOUND ONE NUMBER ON THE TRACTOR WHICH
SAYS; 9N733B. IS THAT THE SERIAL NUMBER.??
DOES IT MEAN; FEB. 7TH 1933 WAS THE DATE MADE?
HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME....WE HAVE NOT BOUGHT
A BOOOK YET ON IT, \BUT WE WILL.
THE TRACTOR RUNS GREAT.
