About 2 years ago i had the local ford tractor dealer rebuild my 2n motor. The guy that did the work was about 75 and loved n tractors. Since they gave me such a good deal i had them do a list of things since it was there. I got all the parts back and am very happy with all his work. I was reading all the posts about pistons and wonder if any of you know if ford uses dome 3 ring pistons or flat top 4 ring pistons? I had 3 ring dome in it. Thanks for the info.

Patrick, Where are you at? I am in So. Md. and the backgrounds in your photos look real familiar.

In Maryland i live in Cattonsville. In Virginia i live on the northeast side of the Rappahannock river bridge ( Whitestone ). Most of the pics are taken there in Va. Do you know this area?

Ford (now New Holland) sells 3 ring pistons because 4 rings wear too fast because of lack of oil in cylinders. I guess aftermarket companies didn't figure that out yet or don't care.
