Went to central tractor in Auburn NY today (They are closing it also) and spent money. I got a front mount cap, six volt coil and ten lynch pins for $32.00 and a $200.00 dollar 30" King Kutter dirt scoop for 152 including tax.
All their three point implements are 30% off and tractor parts are 20%. They only announced the closing Thursday and already the store is looking pretty bare. May even go back tomorrow and look more if I can get the Mrs. to part with more money.

When our stores closed here in Wyoming and Colorado the last couple of days had tractor parts at 50% and 60% off. Needless to say I got a few. talk to the clerks, a lot of it will be shipped out to the stores that are staying open, but if you are a regular sometimes they will help you. they are getting lists daily of what to pack up and ship if it is still not sold. The ladies here did a good job of taking care of us regulars. The last day was feeding frenzy!

NOTE - the salt is only 10% off here & much of the stuff I wanted was also only 10% off ---- I'll play the game & wait for that but I might go back & snag that $240 6' box blade laying out behind.(he he he)..... .

I'm from Lodi, my brother in law lives on Centerport Rd in Throop and I was at his place and he suggested going to see what they had so we went. Actually went back this morning to get a five foot finish mower but somone beat me to it. If I had had my plastic with me last night it would have been mine.

Yes, it appears as if all of the stores are closing. It's a shame because our choices are slowly drying up. We are hopeful that our local store will be purchased by TSC stores as they are looking at taking over some of the stores, but I am not holding my my hopes too high.

Hey Pitcher...I was just there Wed. Night.

With this news I will be there around 10 in the Morning.

Stocking up on Pins and T-Posts and Salt blocks.

...My land is over in Elbridge.

You paid the 8% sales tax on Farm Purchases? They always give me the exemption...might want to ask for it if you go back.

If Central Tractor is the same as CT Farm and Country....

I noticed in Iowa and Missouri that CT Farm and Country is closing. I first noticed it in early november. CT bought the chain stores of Big Bear Farm & Supply.
