I know this has been kicked around. I want to buy some extra rear rims/tires for my 8n while I refurb the old ones. I also have a 641 with 12.2X28's. Wondering about getting 12.2X28's for the 8n temp till I get the 11.2X28's cleaned & coated. I just wondered if I am missing something?
Will probally eventually put the 11.2's and new 11.2 tires back on the 8N after restoration. A year or 2 more than likely.
I will end up with an extra set of 12.4's but I hope to own several N's someday so not a problem.

If you own a cultivator, tiller(field cultivator), or weeder, always stick with the 11.2X28 so the tires don't hit the front of the implement. This applies to 9N, 2N, 8N, NAA.

Maybe I missed something here. Are you saying that you want to tie up some $600 in new 12.4-28 rear tires and rims while you referbish your old N-rims so you can put new 11.2-28 tires on your old N-rims? Seems a strange way to do business.

I'd just put the tractor up on blocks until I got the old N-rims referbished and then put on your new 11.2-28 tires.

Me? I'd bite the $600 bullet for the correct new rims and tires and sell the old rims to someone that has more money than sense..... ...Dell
