I had to do some work on my hyd. system and while i had it tore down i noticed the yoke was wore almost down to the pin. In the manual it looks nice and round so i brazed it up and put it on the grinder and made it look like new.
Put it all back togather and now none of my top links will fit, do i grind off yoke or top links? Did the original top links have smaller ends?

Paul..... ...some of todays modern turnscrew style adjustable 3-point toplink ball-strap surround are just a little bit larger in outside diameter than the original Ford (the balls are the same size) This larger O/D can cause interferance in fitting into the toplink yoke.

I'd probably grind down the yoke, if'n it was eazy to do. Because you'd have to grind down BOTH ballends of your toplink. Otherwize, you'd have a 50/50 chance of trying to put the oversized end into your not quite deep enuff yoke everytime you went to hitch up (grin)..... ....Dell
