Searched the archives and went through my manuals. Wow! First of all is the starter on my Jubilee the same as it is for the 9, 8 and 2 N's?
The owner and shop manuals say nothing about the starter. The archives talk about the older n's and from what I've read, maybe I should leave the removal and repair to a pro. What do ya'll think??
If you think that I can take it out, then I'll need some help on that. A picture or two would be great.thks. Oslo in NC

BTW I even tried calling Zane on the phone. Darndest thing, all I hear are gurgling sounds. You don't think that Zane swal.... Naw.

The starter comes out easily if the hole has been enlarged (common fix)

If the gear/drive hangs up it takes a bit of wigglin' with your mouth held 'just right'

Just make sure to keep the assembly together, put nuts on the end of the bolts to keep the "sandwich" intact. Its a b1tch to put the unit back together, especially the brushes and springs.

I got my starter rebuilt, cost about $20, good for another 50 years

I've read the archives about the difficulties in removing and re-installing the starter. I wasn't sure if my Jubilee's starter was the same as the older n's. If it is then I am going to reread all of the postings again before tackeling this job. thks

I live about 25 miles north west of Charlotte, on Lake Norman.
