I called Blue up this afternoon and took the portable phone and called my number. I watched him real close and he watched me real close when I was dialing too. He did blink when I started to dial but I had my hand on his stomach and did't feel the buzzer or hear the steeple chase so I guess the crisis is over for now.

If he gets to howling and he ain't treed I guess I'll know what is happening. Can you give a dog an enema?????

On the serious side of Old Blue's health. If that phone gets hung up in his inerts it can do him a bunch of harm. I would watch and insure he's eating like he normally does. If his eating happens change, not eating as much or less you may have to get that thing surgically removed from his intestines. I have seen some cases on animal doctors where a dog swallowed something and it got hung up in there and the intestine starts to die and cause some pretty bad infections in the gut. They had to remove the bad part of the intestine so the dog could make it. I have also seen a worse case where the dog wasn't so lucky because the damage was too great and the infection got into the whole digestive tract. Just something to think about if that phone doesn't make it through his system.
This is the funniest story I have ever heard a classic. Hope Old Blue is passes through this ok.
