Ran across this today. Never heard of it before.
Thought N'ers would like to check it out.
This is a new way to me to add MMO.

Those lubricators have been around for many years and, through the 1970s were standard equipment on a lot of natural-gas fired stationary generator plants that don't get a lot of top-end lubrication. I wish I had a penny for every one I've topped off (and for every empty one I've filled).

I haven't seen one on a new genset for many years; this seems to have coincided with the onset of unleaded fuel, so I'm guessing that OEM valves and seats began to be designed for higher temps and thus the top end lubrication wasn't needed.

Come to find out it was part of a Supercharger kit for VW "FlatFour's".
Hey.....I wonder..... nah.

Don't know if it could be found, but I think I need 3 or 4! It hooks into the vacuum of the manifold btw.Was for lubing the vanes and inards of the Jacobson Supercharger.

I remember those blower kits for the V-dub air cooled engines. A couple of guys that I used to drag race with had them. There was also a turbo charger kit that came out of SoCal somewhere back then. The blower kits were very effective. However, they significantly shortened engine life. They were a quick hop-up, but those engines ran hot anyway, especially on the driver side where cyl. 3 & 4 always ran hotter than the other side (unless you relo'ed the oil cooler outside of the fan housing). The blown engines would not stay together very long. Of course, neither would the radically enhanced, normally aspirated ones either.....grin. We used to absolutely terrorize V8 muscle cars at the stoplights in Northern VA in the very late 60's and early 70's. These were legit. 12.2 to 12.5 second machines (in the 1/4 mile) that were pretty unbeatable in 1/8 mile distances. The big iron stuff could always catch up after that, but in stop light to stop light testosterone contests, they were pretty awesome. I about made a boy cry one night in front of his girlfriend when I smoked his '67 427 Vette roadster in a stoplight race..... .LOL!!!
