thanks Ed for your speedy answer last week on the loader hyd. fluid question! Had to go away just after posting, so I managed to get your response from archives and probly good a good thing I did!! Was only running bout half the recommended 4 1/2 gal. So I topped it up (actually till it started runnin out fill hole) and definately helped the pump whining problem. You mentioned bleeding- pardon my ignorance, but how? Sure hope I can soon get my e-mail working soon so's I might some of that great lit. you seem to have so much of. That's great Ed. thanks again. Isee another thing I've been doin wrong. I put hyd. fluid in, as opposed to the engine oil that your manual suggests. Should I change this immediately or is that not a problem? I used a Walmart hyd fluid recommended for loaders.

Randy, I'm not sure. I usually will go with what the manufacturer recommends, but this is very dated info and maybe the newer hydraulic lubes will works as well, or even better. If the loader is now working smoothly, and the pump is not protesting any under use, you may be ok. There should be others here that should know better than I. If you can't get a better answer from someone else here, shoot an email to John Bower at jjbow@bigfoot.com. I would trust his advice on this any day.

Regards..... ..... Ed
