I realize this is upside down, just wanted to see if this works. I need to replace the kingpin. Do I simply get it out by beating on the bushing from the other side or ???

Thanks

Rob

I agree with Dell. The bracket is just like the front mount bracket for my Dearborn Front End Loader.

I'm confused? What is the bracket in the front with the two holes in the bottom and is it welded to the tube that goes through the axle?

Doesn't look at all like mine and I wonder if someone built it?

I knew that would catch attention right away! I believe it is some contraption for a front loader, but I really have no idea. It was on the tractor when I bought it, and I had it for quite a while before I realized it wasn't something standard. I haven't been able to locate the previous owner to ask about it.

Yes, it is welded to the tube that goes through the axle. I'm not clear on if I'm going to have to cut that off first, or what.

Like the other responses, it's a bracket for a loader, and it's welded to the pivot pin. FWIW: That pivot pin / bracket piece is a very expensive item, if in fact you can even buy it seperately from the loader. You may want to consider rconditioning the pin and putting the whole assembly back on instead of just buying a new pivot pin. My $.02

Thanks for the response. Would you mind explaining in detail what you mean by reconditioning the pin? From my original question, I'm not clear on if I need to pound it out from the opposite side, or what, to get it out. It sounds like if I want to recondition the pin, this might not be the right approach? Have a machinist press it out, perhaps?

Thanks.

Is the bolt below the pin the only bolt that holds the plate on? I would think that the plate would be easier to remove than the standard pin as you should be able to twist it while you pull outward? May be easier if youbout the bracket back on the oil pan..... That is if it's still on the tractor.

Good luck,
Ken

Good point, although the pan is indeed not still on the tractor. I will give it a whirl tomorrow and let you know how it went.

Thanks.
