I appreciate the response, but let me clarify, I have no headlights on my tractor. I'm looking for original headlights. I have a 12 volt battery which runs to a resister in turn, reduces it to a 6 volt system. But, was told since I have a 12 volt battery I need to use 12 volt headlights. Can I use original headlights and switch them to 12 volts?? Thanks! Sorry for the confusion..

a friend of a friend has owned a 9n for some 40 years. when he bought it he also bought a loader and installed it on the 9n. doing so, he had to remove the headlights. he has had these headlights stored away for 40 some odd years. he tells me they are like new when he put them away.he said he would look for them and sell them to me for $20 a piece. that was back in the summer, and still no lights. he has phoned me and told me he hasnt forgot me, he just forgot where he stashed them. he is in his 80s and you can still see him on his 9n almost every day. now there is a man who likes his n.
i hope to see the lights soon.

I'm a little confused.

You're looking for original equipment 12 volt headlights for your tractor that shipped from the factory with a 6 volt system?

If your 9N is 12 volts, it's been converted.

Vic..... ...you right, originally 9N's were 6 volts from the factory.

We're going to assume Mr. Robert E McClain is correct in knowing the difference between 6 and 12 volts, and knows that his 9N has been converted to 12 volts. If the gentleman really has the original dealer installed 9N headlights, with the replaceable bulb, then he should be able to take it into a good autoparts place and get a 12 volt equivalent to p/n 9N-13007, bulb, 6 volt.

Unfortunately, I don't know eather General Electric p/n equivalents.

Now then we're also assuming that the respondent knows the difference between replaceable bulb headlights and the later dealer installed 6 volt sealed beam headlight p/n 2N-13007-C, for which there is also a 12 volt equivalent..... ...respectfully, Dell
