I have a 51 6 volt 8N. I need a front end loader and have some questions.

1: Can an 8N handle the stress and strain of a front end loader?
2: Are there any web pages for used loaders or aftermarket companies who sell a loader to fit an 8N?
3: Can a rookie and basic mechanic like myself install it on myself?

I appreciate all the help from you experienced 8N owners. Thanks!

Hello 8NRookie, I have a front end Fort Loader Bucket. It was on my Jubilee, I no longer use it. You just jack it up and drive right into it, need to take off your head lights and finders. The same bolts that hold your finders on, bolts the loader on. The hydroulic pump hooks up to the front drive shaft, it does not use the tractor's pump, it has it's own. When I was taking it off and on for different jobs, I kept it hanging with chains under my garage for easy hook up. It is great for moving dirt, landscaping and road work. You can see it on the photo ad's just click on it.

Front end loaders are harder on front seering components than not having one on. I have one on mine and there is just more maintenance needed. If you must have one then by all means put one on. Mine is held on by 6 bolts and pretty easy to put on and off. I will send you a pic of mine so you'tt know what to look for. Heavy duty with up and down hydraulics and tilt running off a front crank hydraulic pump.

Check out this Paulson Loader webpage...

You also may wish to search the archives for Paulson loaders to see what the board thinks about them. They've been discussed here before.
