I'm ready to jump into fixing up a 41 9N. The rear wheel rims are in good condition; but the rear wheel discs have "some" rust around the perimeter, to the point that I can pick penny and dime sized pieces of rust from them. However, there still seems to be some decent metal underneath. From your experiences, would it be best to just try and find rear discs in the aftermarket arena? or sandblast these, remove the rust, and then prime and paint? I'm looking for the best long term solution. My concern is that rust may show again in a few years? What would you do? If the concensus indicates purchasing: where and who has the parts? and about how much do they cost? - 9N'er
p.s. And, no Zane, I don't want to buy your Zane-thang right now. Last message I posted the discussion turned out to be about Zane...and not my story (just poking at you in fun Zane...).

Since installing a Zane Thang on my Dodge pickup, all the rust has fallen off and the paint is starting to come back. O-K, really now, I would think if you sand blast all the rust off, and use a good primer, you would be o-k. I bought some primer from Napa called Variprime 615. Made by Dupont. Supposed to chemicaly bond with metal, and comes in two parts, to be mixed.
