Just rebuilt a 40's 9N engine. Tractor runs great. Good power, no smoke, no missing. When it is cold oil pressure is about 40lbs. on the the gauge. After about 30 minutes of mowing, pressure is at 20lbs. on the gauge, but this is as low as it goes. Mowed for 31/2 hours pressure never dropped below 20lbs. Is this sufficient oil pressure for long term reliability, or should I look at my main bearing clearance again.

Thanks for the help,

The owner's manual that came with the tractor states that it is normal to have the pressure drop to 20 after the tractor is warmed up. Sounds like you did it right!!
Keep smiling.
