It seems there is a smattering of 2N or 8N parts on my 9N (FYI serial number is: *9N31649*). Here is a set of questions: I have been looking for 9N rims (original) with the 11.25 bolt pattern...thinking that my 9N had that pattern. But as I was pounding rusty bolts tonight, I took a closer look at the front rims. The bolt pattern is a 6" bolt pattern with new rims. Were 9N's (and 2N's) produced with 6" hub and bolt assemblies with same rims? I guess I better start looking for the 8N hubs if 9N's were not made with 6" hubs and bolts. Your expertiese out there is appreciated. Next set of questions: if I was able to find 9N rims with the 11.25 pattern...should I keep them? I am having a difficult time locating a matched set in this size; and if I am trying to restore this 9N to original, should I look for hub assmblies to match and replace this 6" hub assembly (the answer depends on the first set of questions and answers)? The current rims are brand new stamped steel versions...probably the best looking items on the tractor at this point! and they are going...go figure? -9N'er

I don't know what was original, but for a working lawn tractor, the 8N hubs are better, because you can bolt up wide tires. I am sure some non-purist would be willing to nmake the swap.....

Good Luck
Steve
