Two items; I posted an article yesterday before I left the office hoping to see some response this morning, but I wasn't there? Are we having problems? I was asking how to check the oil level? I know how to change it, but under what conditions should I check it?

I check the oil before starting the old girl, every time! Like an airplane pilot, there should be a 'pre-flight' check list. I check oil, water, and tranny/hydraulic fluid. The oil dipstick is located on the left ('drivers') side of the block between the oil filler tube and the starter. The tranny dipstick is on the right side below the seat. Water is pretty self explanatory. It is just a good idea to keep on top of the fluid levels. This can give you an indication if there is a deveolping problem. I also check the radiator for twigs and bugs and i check the condition of the belt. Nothing worse than busting a fan belt a mile from the house with no pantyhose in sight, LOL!!!

That's why I always keep a pair of Leggs in my toolbox.

Gosh, does that mean I am supposed to wear pantyhose when I mow? That would pretty uncomfortable.
