I am redoing seals etc and noticed that one of the rear axles is pitted where the seal rides. Is there any good shortcut way to fill these pits? I presume a machine shop could build it up and then turn it to the correct diameter. Does any one know what the correct diameter is?? This forum board has been of great help to me... THanks!!!!

 Re: 1940-41 Radiator 9N-D in reply to 9N'er, 05-26-2000 07:52:30
I've found there are 2 types of radiators on 9N's. There is a slender one (no more than 5" thick from top to bottom). These are available after-market for about $160. Then there's the one like I have that has a large tank on top, the mounting brackets for the side panels are made onto the radiator, and it's threaded on the bottom for the 2 mounting bolts. This one I am told is no longer available. I'm told a slender model will work but you have to get all the add-on stuff so you can bolt everything back up. Hope this helped a little.

Best Regards,

Re: BushHog, Toplink ? in reply to David (La), 05-25-2000 14:33:35
I disconnected for the same reason that Tom and Molly did, although I have not broken a tailwheel. I like the idea of adding a heavy chain in the link at the bottom to allow it to flex some while still giving the safty. Thanks.

P.S. Yes Dell, I have the ORC and it works like a charm, I have never experienced without and don't care too from reading this board of others experience.
